The heartbeat of Kleats United
Our first project was to help kids in Cameroon. Leading this effort was a Christian Missionary; Jordan Cone. Jordan, his wife Tirza and his family are missionaries at Rain Forest International School in Yaounde, Cameroon through Christ’s Covenant Church.
Kleats United collected, cleaned and had 500 pair of gently used soccer cleats and 80 soccer balls sent to Cameroon to support the mission to change the lives of children through soccer. We drew overwhelming support from the top soccer clubs and venues in Michigan and the wonderful soccer families that support them.
At Kleats United, our mission is to collect, distribute, and sell gently used soccer gear and to raise funds through donations to support projects that inspire children through soccer internationally and domestically.
Bobby is a USSF licensed coach and has been involved in soccer as a player and coach since 1975. His inspiration for Kleats United came after learning about a Missionary in Cameroon and what he is doing for the kids through soccer and Christ.
Brian is a founding partner of Lippitt O’Keefe Gornbein, PLLC, a Birmingham, Michigan based law firm. Brian is a long-time philanthropist and has served on numerous community and company boards and committees including the Manresa Retreat House and the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Brian is also an avid fan of youth soccer in Michigan. He has coached boys and girls ages 6 to 16 over many years. Presently he is the boys’ freshmen soccer coach at Birmingham Seaholm High School.
Kleats for Kids in Cameroon, YMCA, Oakland County Foster Closet, YMCA, Project Play SportPort. We are working to provide gear and support internationally and domestically.
For school projects, players can get involved in gathering, cleaning, and sorting gear for youth leadership projects, national honor society credits, etc.
